Silk Polka Dot 50's Dress

This 1950's 2 piece silk dress is from designer Vera Maxwell. Vera Maxwell was an important American designer from the 1930's through the 1970's and her 1950's pieces are some of my favorites!

This vintage dress is in ivory with black polka dots and has a full pleated skirt and a wrap top. It was purchased at Lord & Taylor in the 1950's and is in excellent condition!  You can find other pieces by Vera Maxwell in our shop by designer section!  Maxwell was the recipient of the Coty Award in 1953, and the Neiman Marcus Award in 1955. This is a rare opportunity to own one of her earlier ensembles!
